Najma M. Rashid

Najma is an employment and litigation lawyer with a particular interest in disability cases. Her law practice includes helping our clients on labour and employment matters. As well, Najma is also a personal injury and insurance lawyer with Wyllie Spears’ sister firm, Howard Yegendorf & Associates.

Law Career
Najma completed her articles at a labour and employment firm in Ottawa. Her practice has included a diverse range of complex litigation matters, and she has represented clients in all levels of court as well as administrative tribunals.

Najma brings considerable experience in long-term disability claims against insurance companies, and participates in the Long-Term Disability Section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to labour and employment matters, Najma is also a personal injury and insurance lawyer with Wyllie Spears’ sister firm, Howard Yegendorf & Associates.

Life Outside of the Office
Najma is an avid writer and her articles have appeared in The Litigator, the Ottawa Business Journal and The Lawyers Weekly. She has previously taught the civil litigation course for law clerks at Algonquin College. When she is not practicing law, she is an enthusiastic traveler and frequently flies around the world visiting faraway and exotic places.
